Manisha J. Patel, M.D.is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a founding member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Skin Care in Organ Transplant Patients Europe (SCOPE), and International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative (ITSCC). Dr. Patel received her medical degree at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Boston University’s Boston Medical Center, and then returned to Winston-Salem for her residency in Dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
During her final year of residency, Dr. Patel was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship to Berlin, Germany. She utilized her award to study and work at the Charité Hospital in Berlin, home to the world’s largest transplant dermatology center, studying skin malignancies and other skin diseases in solid organ transplant recipients
A dermatologist focused on skin conditions in organ transplant recipients, Dr. Manisha J. Patel has launched the mid-Atlantic's first program solely dedicated to the care of solid organ transplant patients. Her clinical interests include general medical dermatology, infectious diseases, skin cancer diagnosis and management and resident/student education.
Dr. Patel sees patients at The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and The Johns Hopkins Cosmetic Center at Green Spring Station.
